no studio

if gabriel orozco did it, then i can do it. its been a little difficult not having my own studio, im still hunting for one through art organizations. in the meantime, ill stick to videos or make work in small scale.

whitney's youth insights program

im really enjoying my teaching residency - the boss and kids are really fun to work with. so, for the project, we went to a walking tour by MCA (museum of chinsese in america) in chinatown, and after that, we collected sounds and bought items in the same neighborhood. it felt like we were being archaeologists.. then we used my subwoofers to find the physical connections between the sounds and items. the photos below were taken by sabrina:

two narratives

ive been filming with my digital camera and i divided the clips into two groups. each gives a different feeling. im not sure what im trying to capture - maybe just the poetics of movement.
